Abstract

Green mustard (Brassica juncea L.) is a horticultural crop of high economic value, but its productivity is often hampered by pest infestations and nutrient imbalances. One strategy that can be implemented is the use of biosaka and liquid organic fertilizer (POC) made from cow urine to boost growth and production. This study aims to analyze the effect of applying biosaka and liquid organic fertilizer (POC) made from cow urine on the growth and production of green mustard, as well as to compile the results into a leaflet as a source of information. The research method used a completely randomized design (CRD) in a factorial pattern with two factors. The first factor was biosaka concentration, consisting of four levels: 0 ml/L, 2 ml/L, 4 ml/L, and 6 ml/L. The second factor was cow urine POC concentration, consisting of four levels: 0 ml/L, 30 ml/L, 40 ml/L, and 50 ml/L. The observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, fresh weight, dry weight, yield, harvest index, and abiotic factors. The data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results indicated that the application of biosaka and bovine urine POC significantly influenced all growth and yield parameters. The best treatment combination was found at a biosaka concentration of 4 ml/L and a cow urine POC concentration of 40 ml/L, which effectively increased crop yield compared to other treatments. Based on these results, a leaflet was developed and validated by three experts with a rating of “highly suitable” as an informational resource for the public or farmers.
