dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT
5-fluorouracil is an antineoplastic agent as an antimetabolite that used
for treating breast, colorectal and gastric cancers. Several compound as a
derivative 5 fluorouracil has been synthesis for increase its activity and reduce
side effect. 1-(3,4-dichlorobenzoyloximetil)-5 fluorouracil is a derivative of 5
fluorouracil that synthesized for development drugs. Synthesis 1-(3,4-
dichlorobenzoyloxymethyl)-5 fluorouracil has two step. The first step is alkylation
between 5-fluorouracil and formaldehyde to produce 1-hydroxymethyl-5-
fluorouracil. The second step is benzoylation between 1-hydroxymethyl-5-
fluorouracil and 3,4-dichlorobenzoylchloride to give the target compound, 1-
(3,4-dichlorobenzoyloxymethyl)-5-fluorouracil. This compound has been purified
by Column Chromatography and give white color with melting point 184-186oC
and then fix identification by H-NMR 500 MHz and KBr FTIR. 1-(3,4-
dichlorobenzoyloxy methyl)-5-fluorouracil probably can synthesed and resuted
±9,27 % of yield and its unstability that caused still have degradan 3,4-
dichlorobenzoic acid. | en_US |
