dc.description.abstract | Abenzoic acid derivative has been developed as new drugs that have antioxidant,
analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-thrombotic. In this study, will be
synthesized a new compound of benzoic acid derivative tha is 3-(3-
chlorobenzamido)-4-methyl benzoic acid (33-KB) with reacting 3-amino-4-methyl
benzoic and 3-chlorobenzoyl chloride. The reaction is a benzoylation with
Schotten-Baumann method. Synthesis is done with optimum reaction conditions so
that need to be optimized include reaction temperature, reaction time, and eluent.
The reaction time is done 24 hours. The samples are taken at 1,2,3,4,5,6,12,24
hours than spotted on TLC plates and eluated with optimum eluent which is nheksane
: chloroform : athyl acetate (4:2:2) ; chloroform : ethyl acetate : asetic
acid (100:5:1); and n-heksane : ethyl acetate (3:2). 33-kb compound can be
synthesized by benzoylation reaction at room temperature (25-27o C). | en_US |
