dc.description.abstractThe Indonesian government has tried to suppress the increasing population growth. The family planning program was one of the efforts. Family planning program provided a variety of contraceptive methods that could be selected by the acceptor. Acceptor was a couple who used contraceptive methods. The selection of contraceptive methods ideally should be done by the couple in order to realize the purpose of family planning so the family power was required in determining the choice of contraceptive methods. The study aims to determine the relationship between family power functioning with the selection of contraceptive methods. This study used cross sectional method with multistage random sampling. The samples were 57 respondents. Data were analyzed using chi square test. The results showed that family power that work tended to choose the hormonal contraception methods. Data analysis showed p value = 0.017 and odds ratio = 0.250, so it can be conclude that there is a correlation between family power functioning and the selection of contraceptive methodsen_US
