| dc.description.abstract | Nutritional problem is disturbance of some under five in community aspect
welfare that caused by unfulfillness nutrient need from food. Nutritional problem
can happen in all age groups. Under five age group is vulnerable for nutritional
problem. This problem need a good management to decrease the effect. One of
way for tackling nutritional problem was provided in health service or outpatient.
Outpatient handling effort in nutritional problem of under five was did by family
because family is nearest part with child. It very allows to give caring. A family
has structure, function, role, and each task. Family function that has a big role to
increase health status is health care function, mainly family diet practice. This
research aimed to analyzed correlation between health care function
implementation: family diet with under five 2-5 years old nutrition status in Suci
Village Panti Sub-district Jember Regency. This research is including
observational analytic method research using cross sectional study. Samples was
collected with simple random sampling, and got 204 respondents. Data was
analyzed with chi square. Statistical test showed that p value was 0,000 (α = 0,05)
with odd ratio was 5,029. It means there was correlation between health care
function implementation: family diet with under five 2-5 years old nutrition status
in Suci Village Panti Sub-district Jember Regency. The conclusion of this study is
nutrition status is important thing and influenced by health care function, mainly
