dc.description.abstract | A teenager who has fallen in love to the one of different sex is not a problem. An interest in the one of different sex is a
natural thing, and to legalize the feelings they usually commit to dating. However, going on a date in the context of
multipartner relation will likely be fatal and leads to violence because this relationship is identical to affair, which in
practice contains romantic state of having more than one date. Therefore, it is interested to discuss this theme to determine
university students’ violence action against their dates in multipartner relation in the area of Sumbersari, District of
Sumbersari, Jember Regency. This research was intended to explain, describe university students’ violence against their
dates in multipartner relation in the area of Sumbersari, Jember Regency. The research used qualitative research with
descriptive study, and snowball sampling used for determining the informants. The results showed that the forms of
violence by university students against their dates in multipartner relation had negative impacts including: 1) Physical
violence such as hitting, slapping, kicking, and other physical actions; 2) Psychological violence such as threatening,
calling by bad mentioning, treating, mocking, vilifying, shouting, swearing, and so forth; 3) Sexual violence like forcing
the dates to perform certain sexual behaviors such as touching, hugging, kissing, doing sexual intercourse when the
partners were not willing or under threat; 4) Economic violence such as asking for money or luxurious goods in order to
meet their needs. | en_US |
