dc.description.abstract | This research explores about the role of cultural diplomacy and communication in
increasing of international investment in South Africa after FIFA World Cup 2010.
Due to the success in hosting FIFA World Cup 2010, the economy of South Africa
that only had several foreign investment in some company and franchise on that
country, now have many foreign investment and becomes the only country in Africa
on the top destinations for foreign investment index list of 25, coming ahead from
some European country like Switzerland, Spain, and Italy. This research is using a
descriptive qualitative method that will show some information from many source.
The result of some research show that the increasing international investment in
South Africa after FIFA World Cup 2010 is because the law in South Africa makes
it easy to foreign investors to invest their money in their country, the crime rate in
minimized by the South Africa government, South African politics doesn’t affecting
the economics, and there is nothing excessive protests about regarding of the
foreign investor to South Africa but allow them to invest in their country. Based on
that result, this article will explores about the role of cultural diplomacy and
communication which is so important in increasing of foreign investment in South
