dc.description.abstractThis research discusses the Vatican's efforts as world Catholic eschatologist to achieve international peace. The efforts made by Vatican in the achievement of international peace have distinctive character with peacebulding approach through Catholic Social Doctrine in the form of papal encyclicals which later becomes the basic direction of the implementation of Vatican’s international peace achievement. The research aimed to determine the effectiveness of roles of Vatican as world Catholic eschatologist in efforts of achieving international peace. The research used literature study. The concepts used to discuss this issue are social theology and international peace by peacebuilding approach. Having described the definition of the concept of eschatology which becomes social peculiarities of the Vatican's approach to social theology, the concept was then elaborated with peacebuilding approach, and further it discussed the application of Catholic social doctrine in the action to achieve international peace either curatively or preventively, so it can be concluded that Vatican has a significant role in efforts of international peace achievementen_US
