Gasification is the process transformation of fuel into a shape of gas with a heating manner. Rice husk have the potential as carbon source and producing gas trough gasification process. Jember have 78.815 ha fields, and producing a large amount of rice husk. The objectives of this research was to count the total energy potency of rice husk producing in Jember, and conducted feasibility analysis of rice husk as burning material in gasification process. The research was carried out in 67 rice mills and 30 service users of the rice husk. The are 31 districts in Jember, 3 sample RMU’s was taken in every district. The result of the field survey showed that Jember district has 78.815 ha field, it was equal to 88.272 ton rice husk in one season. Rice husk mostly used for brick production, while the other parties were used by poultry, planting media production and drying process. The rice husk price was Rp 716.417,00 per truck. Total rice husk produced by RMU’s was estimated 641.048 ton per day. It was equal to 8.077.204,8 kj per day. The development of gasifiers in Jember was feasible if the price of the rice husk less than Rp 383,00/kilogram based from the comparation analysis with LPGen_US
