The goal of this study to find out how to increase activity and student
learning outcomes in the classroom of SMP Negeri 12 Jember after
application of active learning strategies mind maps. The research method
used was action research (PTK). The data of student learning outcomes
obtained from post-test scores. Analysis of activity data use the method that
is used by basir shows an increase in student learning activities in cycle 1
at 60.60%, the second cycle students' learning activities by 65.33%, while
the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle by 77.50% and the
second cycle of 82.50%. The results of this data analysis proves that
learning to use active learning strategies can increase the activity of the
mind map and the learning outcomes of students at SMP Negeri 12 Jember.
