HUBUNGAN PELAKSANAAN DISCHARGE PLANNING DENGAN KESIAPAN KELUARGA DALAM MENJALANKAN TUGAS PERAWATAN KESEHATAN PADA PASIEN TUBERCULOSIS PARU DI RUANG RAWAT INAP RUMAH SAKIT PARU JEMBER

Abstract

Discharge planning is intervention that usually do by nurses to increase knowledge of lung tuberculosis patient in health care service. Discharge planning will help to give information to prepare family for patient treatment at home. The purpose of this research was to analyzed the correlation between discharge planning implementation with family readiness to perform health care task to the lung tuberculosis patient in ward of Rumah Sakit Paru Jember. This research was a observasional analytic study using cross sectional approach. Sampling were 64 respondents picked out by purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed by Chi Square obtained p value= 0,003 (α=0,05) which means that there is a correlation between implementation of discharge planning with family readiness to perform health care task in lung tuberculosis patient in ward of Rumah Sakit Paru Jember. The result showed 26 (40,6%) said that implementation of discharge planning in less categories were and 38 (59,4%) in enough categories. Family readiness to perform health care in enough categories were 39 (30,9%) and 25 (39,1%) in ready categories. Results of Odds Ratio (OR) was 6,794 it means that discharge planning with good implementation had greater opportunity 6,794 times to be ready family in perform health care task in lung tuberculosis patient. Good discharge planning implementation by nurse it was started from assesment until evaluation that will give a family readiness of patients to perform health care task.
