Drugs usage during pregnancy must considered because a pregnant woman not allowed consuming anti diabetic drugs (OAD), only using insulin as therapy. The purpose of this study was describing insulin usage and assessing effectiveness of insulin therapy in diabetic mellitus gestational patients in RSD dr. Soebandi Jember. The samples of this study were 23 patients. The results indicate that patients aged 20-24 years old (7,69%) patients, aged 25-29 years old (11,54%) patients, aged 30-34 years old (26,92%) patients, aged 35-39 years old (30,77%) patients, aged 40-44 years old (7,69%) patients and aged > 45 years old (15,38%) patients. Based on the results of Mann-Whitney test was known that effectiveness of insulin based on random blood glucose levels with insulin rapid-acting and short-acting is sub-cutaneous do not have significant differences. From the test was known that mean value for Actrapid greater than Novorapid (8,20 > 5,75). Furthermore, mann-whitney test can also be seen in the output where the small Z statistic value is -0.990 and sig.2-tailed value is 0.3220> 0.05. The results test was not significant statistically and Null Hypothesis occurs where there are no differences effectiveness between Actrapid and Novorapid.en_US
