HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN PETUGAS KESEHATAN DENGAN MOTIVASI IBU DALAM PEMANFAATAN LAYANAN IMUNISASI DPT PADA BAYI DI DESA JAMBEARUM KECAMATAN SUMBERJAMBE KABUPATEN JEMBER

Abstract

Immunization is one of the efforts to reduce toddlers and infant mortality. DPT is basic immunizations given to infants. The implementation of DPT immunization that not fully implemented yet becomes a major problem. Health workers are support system that necessary for community members, especially mothers. The health workers support can affect maternal motivation in use DPT immunization services. This study investigated the relationship of health workers support to mothers motivation to use DPT immunization in Jambearum, Jember. This study used observational analytic design with cross sectional design with 97 samples. Data were acquired by questionnaire and analyzed by Chi-Square test. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The results of statistical analysis showed that the p value was 0.032 (0.032<α = 0.05), which indicates that there is a relationship between health workers support to mothers motivation in use DPT immunization in Jambearum, Jember. Odd Ratio was 3.141, it means that health workers support is 3.141 better to increase mothers motivation. Nurses could use this research to motivate mothers in use DPT imunitation to their infant.
