dc.description.abstract | The emergence of the risk of low back pain on the erderly farmers
influenced by incorrect position in the working (not ergonomic). In this case, the
erderly farmer was exacerbated by a degenerative process that occurs. The
purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between the position of
elderly farmers working with the risk of low back pain in the working area of the
health center Sumberjambe, Jember. This study is a crosssectional research with
95 samples acquired by cluster sampling method. Data were collected by using
measurement by questionnaire about the risk of lower back pain and
questionnaires working position. The results of the score position of the old
farmer who worked an average of 90.60, and 56.8% showed of elderly farmers
working not ergonomics. It caused the risk of low back pain on elderly
farmer,there are 54.7% of elderly farmers had an average score of 106.91, in the
meaning that they are at risk for lower back pain. The position of elderly farmers
working contributed 35,1% to the occurence of the risk of low back pain. Simple
linear regeression test was used to analyze the data with p values below 0.0001
which is under of α value (0.05). The coefficient of determination is 0.351 with r
value of 0.593, that means there is a significant correlation between the variables. It
shows that the roles of the Occupational Health Nursing (OHN) in agriculture
should be improved by socializing working ergonomic through health education,
for health care system on elderly farmers in the working area of the health center
Sumberjambe, Jember. | en_US |
