dc.description.abstractLow behavior of hand washing with soap in society can make the spreading of infectious diseases like diarrhea. Jember was became the 3rd ranked regency with the highest incidence of diarrhea in East Java. This research aimed to saw the effect of health education used storytelling and snakes ladders game at the level of knowledge of hands washing with soap on preschool children at the Al-Hidayah kindergarten Ajung Jember Regency. This research used preexperimental one group pretest posttest with technique sampling probability sampling with total of preschool children were 20 respondent, then divide into two groups with 10 respondents in each group. Mann whitney u test was used to analyzed data for this research. The results showed that differences on level of knowledge hands washing with soap on preschool children before and after health education with p value 0.001 < α (0.05) in a storytelling group and p value 0.001 < α (0.05) in a snakes ladders game group. The conclusion is there are effect of methods of storytelling and the game of snakes and ladders on the level of hands wahing knowledge of preschool children at Al-Hidayah kindergarten. Nurse can used this method to gives health education in preschool children.en_US
