dc.description.abstract | A development of science and construction technology rapidly encourages us
to improve the quality of qualified labor productivity. It is needed to have a latest
innovation of building materials that has more advantages compared to the existing
building materials. Recently there is an innovation which is called lightweight
concrete that are frequently used to replace the existing conventional brick (Curwell,
et al, 2002). The lightweight brick have some benefits; they are easily done, their
neatness, and its quick installation.
The making process of a testing object is done by using a manual mixing
which has several stages, they are preparation and dosing of the materials, mixing the
materials, printing, and maintenance of the testing object.
The best mixing results obtained by previous research, Nur Sanianto Andie
(2010), is at the point of 14 with the comparison fa: sf 1.6; straw 0.3%. The making
of the wall element applies three treatments, namely: no cover, cover on the
connection, and comprehensive cover. By using the mixture composition Fa: sf 1:
0.63: 0.70, it is obtained a concrete weight 5120 kg, with volume weight of 0966
g/cm3 and modulus elasticity of 533 kg/cm2.
The damages resulting from the testing of the horizontal and vertical elements
toward the lightweight precast concrete walls of the straw fiber with three twodimensional
cover treatment can be used in a earthquake-prone location. It is shown
by no serious harms to the occupants when the earthquake happened and the
lightweight precast concrete wall can be reused. | en_US |
