| dc.description.abstract | Industry is a business or processing raw materials or intermediate goods
into goods that have supplementary value to profit. The fishing industry is a
business activity which is similar or same is done in the field of fisheries to
achieve goals by using technology packages. The results of the industry are not
only in the form of goods, but also in the form of services. This study aims to
classify or categorize fisheries business position refers to the Law No.20 of 2008
and to identify the characteristics of SMEs so as to produce the description of
financial characteristic into 3 financial characteristics, namely, the low, medium,
and high financial characteristics.
The study of this research is a descriptive research about the financial
characteristics of the fishing industry in the District Muncar Banyuwangi. The
sampling method which is used in this study is sampling convenience; this method
is chosen because of the limitation of researcher to meet the respondent. The data
that is used is primary data by giving questionnaires and interview to be filled out
by the respondents. To classify or categorize the business position of the fishing
industry in the characteristics of SMEs by the Law No.20 of 2008 and to
determine the condition of the financial characteristics of SMEs in each of the
fishing industry in the district of Banyuwangi Muncar using descriptive statistical
analysis with graphical method. The financial characteristics which is owned by
the fishing industry in the District of Banyuwangi Muncar is classified into three
financial characteristics those are: high financial characteristic, medium financial
characteristic and low financial characteristic. The fishing industry that is
included in the high financial characteristics is the fishing industry that has a
capital total more than Rp. 5.562.495.000,00. It has a debt of over
Rp.1.857.138.000,00. It also has an income more than Rp. 1.487.495.000,00. It has cost more than Rp. 943.995.000,00. It has cash more than Rp. 741.245.000,00.
It has a workforce more than 59 people. The fishing industry is which included in
the medium financial characteristics is the fishing industry that has a capital total
more than Rp. 2.718.745.000,00 until Rp. 5.562.495.000,00. It has a debt over
Rp.520.000.000,00 until Rp. 1.857.138.000,00. It has an income more than
Rp.639.995.000,00 until Rp. 1.487.495.000,00. It has a cost more than
Rp.392.495.000,00 until Rp. 943.995.000,00. It has a cash more than
Rp.347.495.000,00 until Rp. 741.245.000,00. It has sworkforce more than 35
people until 59 people. The fishing industry which is included in low financial
characteristic is an industry that has a capital total less than Rp. 2.718.745.000,00.
It has a debt of Rp. 0.00 to Rp. 520.000.000,00. It has an income less than
Rp.639.995.000,00. It has a cost less than Rp. 392.495.000,00. It has a cash less
