    Abstract
Catfish is a kind of fish that is often stricken with disease especially MAS to overcome this problem catfish farmers do treatment and prevention by injecting oxytetracycline in to Intra-abdominal cavity area. Oxytetracycline is a derivative antibiotic of tetracycline that is produced by Streptromyces rimosus. Oxytetracycline is yellow, bitter, and has high solubility in acid and solubility low in water. Oxytetracycline is a drug with broad spectrum that can be easily absorbed in our body and it makes metabolism process run easily. The use of oxytetracycline in the cultivation of fresh water fish is not allowed because the accumulation of antibiotic residues in fish in a long period will cause various diseases such as tumor, cancer, and the other generative disease. In this study, we will develop an a method of analysis Oxytetracycline residue level in catfish by KCKT Uv-Vis with a detector that has high sensitivity, good resolution, and can analyze low quantity of sample such as in determining residue level. To guarantee the validity of the method, it was done a validity test toward the developed method. The result obtained that the method was valid and it has linearity of calibration R = 0,9972, precision with KV precision between = 3,54 % for dosage 40 mg and 5,73% for dosage 120 mg, and accurate with average score % recovery = 95,938 % for dosage 40 mg and 103,367 % for dosage 120 mg. Residue level that was obtained was 0,412 % in the catfish that was given dosage Oxytetracycline 40 mg and 0,730% to the catfish that was given dosage 120 mg.
