dc.description.abstract | Line with the increased ease of access to data via the mobile Internet, the
number of smartphone users has also increased phenomenally even 2 times each year.
MIPv4 is a protocol for handling mobile internet data access at this time. However, a
limited MIPv4 address unable to meet the number of mobile internet users. MIPv6 is
a new protocol to address system deficiencies and address the needs of some other
weaknesses in MIPv4. Writing is comparing the performance of the mobile internet
network PT. Indosat Jember using MIPv4 and MIPv6. The results showed that the
MIPv6 addressing capabilities better than MIPv4, can be seen in 3 main factors,
namely the reliability (routing), scalability (number of addresses), availability (access
to data connected). The results are expected to be used as references to improve the
quality of mobile internet services in the PT. Indosat Jember | en_US |
