Keanekaragaman Spesies Burung di Hutan Pantai Bilik-Sijile Taman Nasional Baluran

Abstract

Baluran National Park (BNP) is one of the conservation areas that is an important habitat for birds in Jawa Island, Indonesia. This study aims to determine the diversity of bird species in the Bilik-Sijile coastal forest of BNP. Data collection was carried out using the Point Count method, which is an observation method with a maximum viewing radius of 50 meters for 30 minutes. Bird species diversity was analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index and Evennes index. The results showed that in the coastal forest of Bilik-Sijile BNP, 49 bird species from 29 families were found with a high diversity (H’=3.22) and high evennes (E=0.82). The Columbidae family has the species richness (five species), including Chalcophaps indica, Ducula aenea, Geopelia striata, Spilopelia chinensis, and Streptopelia bitorquata. According to the IUCN Redlist conservation status, there are four categories: least concern with 46 species, near threatened with 1 species (Ducula aenea), vulnerable with 1 species (Acridotheres javanicus), and endangered with 1 species (Pavo muticus). Based on the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) shows that 44 species found are classified as Non Appendix and 5 species are classified as Appendix II. furthermore, the results of this study also show that there are 40 species that are not protected and 9 species that are protected by Permen LHK.
