Hubungan Tingkat Pengetahuan dengan Pelaksanaan PHBS Anak Nelayan di Sekolah Dasar Wilayah Puger Jember
Abstract
The Health Status of School-Age Children (AUS) is one of the serious problems faced by the Indonesian people. Common health problems that occur in school-age children are usually related to individual and environmental hygiene. The majority of the people in the Puger area make a living as fishermen who are vulnerable to poverty. This study aims to find out how the relationship between the level of knowledge of fishermen's children and the implementation of PHBS in elementary schools. This study used a cross-sectional design with a total sample of 102 elementary school students using purposive sampling method. The research instrument used a knowledge level questionnaire consisting of 17 questions and the implementation of PHBS consisting of 14 questions. Univariate analysis on the characteristics of the respondents including age, sex, history of illness, parents' last education, and parents' income. The results of the bivariate analysis of the Spearman correlation test found that there was a relationship between the level of knowledge and the implementation of PHBS behavior in elementary school children in the Puger Jember area with a p-value of 0.000. The level of knowledge of fishermen's children has a relationship with the process of implementing PHBS forfishermen's children. The implementation of this PHBS improves children's health status and helps the teaching and learning process in schools
