The anxiety experienced by students who are taking a thesis has a bad impact and can cause students to delay writing their thesis. On average, students experience anxiety due to various stressors that arise during the thesis preparation process. five finger hypnosis therapy is a therapy to help change the perception of anxiety by receiving suggestions in a relaxed state by moving the fingers according to command. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an effect of five finger hypnosis therapy on reducing the anxiety level of students undergoing a thesis at the Faculty of Engineering, Jember University. The research design used a quasi-experimental research design: non-equivalent control group design with pre-test and post-test where the intervention group was given treatment in the form of five-finger hypnosis therapy. This research was conducted in May 2024. The population in this research were students from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Jember who were undertaking their thesis with a sample size of 58 respondents. Based on data processing using the Paired T-Test, the value of p=0.000 (p < 0.05), which means there is an influence of five finger hypnosis on reducing anxiety levels. The decrease in anxiety levels in respondents occurred due to the stimulation of five finger hypnosis therapy which can work by influencing the individual's limbic system by providing suggestions, which has an impact on the release of hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol which are related to the stress response. It is recommended that this research be useful for students, especially in dealing with anxiety and active relaxation in carrying out five finger hypnosis therapy independently in situations to maintain health.
