Inventarisasi jenis kutu daun yang Berasosiasi dengan Tanaman Kopi Robusta (Coffea Robusta) di Perkebunan Sentool Desa Suci Kecamatan Panti Kabupaten Jember

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the types of aphids on Robusta Coffe plants (Coffea robusta) found in the Sentool Plantation, Suci Village, Panti District, Jember Regency. This research is qualitative by using descriptive method. The research was conducted by collecting aphids on the young leaves of the coffe plant in the Sentool Plantation, Suci Village, Panti District. Aphids were identified using the book “Aphids on Agricultural Plantations and Weeds in West Java” publised by Yani Maharani and Purnama Hidayat. The method used in sampling aphids on C. Robusta plants was direct collection using random sampling method. Aphids were collected on the young leaves of C. Robusta are purplish brown-green in color. Young leaves of C. Robusta are purplish brown-green in color. The results of the collection and identification of aphids on coffee plants in the Sentool plantation, Suci vollage, obtained two species, namely and Aphis aurantii and Aphis citricidus. Mos of the collections of aphids were obtained on coffe plants, namely when the harvest period has been completed and the prcess of pruning the coffe plants out so that new young leaves will grow, then the aphids will attack and damage the shoots of the plants, resulting in stunted leaf growth.
