Radiographic developer solution plays a role in forming latent images into visible images on radiographic film. The more the development process is carried out, the developer fluid will weaken and the image quality will decrease. Hydroquinone is one of the compounds in the radiography developer solution as a developing agent whose role is to produce high selectivity and high image contrast. Increasing the number of developing films is expected to reduce hydroquinone levels in the developer solution. The research aims to determine differences in hydroquinone levels in radiographic developer solutions with different amounts of intraoral developing film. This laboratory experimental research used the posttest-only control group design with 25 samples divided into 5 sample groups (A = 0 times developing/control, B = 15 times developing, C = 30 times developing, D = 45 times developing, and E = 60 times developing). Hydroquinone levels were measured using the HPLC method. The data obtained were analyzed using the One Way Anova test or the Kruskal Wallis test (α = 0.05). The results showed that the average hydroquinone level for group A was 532.6, group B 489.8, group C 473.4, group D 365, and group E 271.4 μg/ml. The study concluded that there was a decrease in hydroquinone levels in the radiographic developer solution as it was used to develop intraoral films 15 times, 30 times, 45 times, & 60 times. The decrease in levels occurred significantly starting with the use of more than 30 intraoral developing films.en_US
