dc.description.abstractSecondary batteries are a combination of cells that exhibit reversible cell reactions, allowing them to be restored by passing current through them. One widely used type of battery is the lead acid battery, known for its strength, affordability, reliability, and high tolerance for overcharging. To determine the required characteristics of a battery, static condition testing is needed, where the battery is tested under a constant load condition to obtain accurate data. The testing is conducted using Simulink/MATLAB, employing two approaches: without control and with fuzzy control, with varying load conditions to assess battery performance. The load variations used are 5 watts, 8 watts, and 16 watts. In the testing without control, it is observed that larger load variations tend to result in more significant voltage and current drop in the battery. With a load of 16 watts, the control of the current is less optimal without fuzzy control, which can regulate the battery to maintain a stable current under large load variations. The use of fuzzy control allows for current regulation using membership functions for battery optimization, leading to an increase in battery capacity and overall performance. In the 5-watt load testing, the battery capacity obtained with fuzzy control is 3.162 Ah, while without fuzzy control, it is 2.995 Ah. The battery capacity obtained with fuzzy control is much closer to the actual battery capacity, indicating that the use of fuzzy control can accurately determine the true battery capacity and improve the overall performance of lead acid batteries.en_US
