dc.description.abstract | Rubber liquid waste has several characteristics such as a low pH value, high levels of ammonia, BOD, and TSS, which can cause pollution if disposed of directly without prior treatment. One way to treat rubber liquid waste is by biological means using the phytoremediation method. Phytoremediation can be carried out with the help of plants, one of which is fragrant pandanus (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb), to improve the quality of rubber liquid waste. Fragrant pandanus must go through an acclimatization process to adapt to its new habitat, which will then be continued in the treatment process. Rubber liquid waste will be analyzed before and after treatment to compare it with existing quality standards. The results showed that the liquid rubber waste, after the phytoremediation process, was able to increase the pH value and reduce the levels of BOD and TSS. This is different from the ammonia levels after the treatment, which have increased. | en_US |
