Analisis Sentimen Publik terhadap Kurikulum Merdeka dari Media Sosial YouTube dan Instagram
Abstract
The education sector is one of the important sectors for producing quality human resources for Indonesia, because of that the government has implemented several policies and innovations in the education system. One of the innovations that has been carried out, among others, is by developing a curriculum in educational units. Evidenced by the existence of several curricula that have been implemented in Indonesia. Then in the 2021/2022 academic year the Ministry of Education and Culture introduced an merdeka curriculum, as a new curriculum option. With the existence of the new curriculum, various kinds of reactions have arisen among the public, as evidenced by the many public comments poured on social media, both comments supporting or criticizing the implementation of the new curriculum.This study aims to determine public sentiment regarding the merdeka curriculum. The research will go through several stages, namely scraping comment data, preprocessing, translating comments into English, then labeling data using the vader lexicon, data visualization and text association.The results of this study are that the number of positive comments is more than the number of negative comments. The word 'Teacher' appears the most frequently in positive comments, namely 557 times. As for the negative comments themselves, the word that appears most often is the word 'Curriculum' 141 times. From this study it can be concluded that most of the comments accept the existence of an independent curriculum well and think that the implementation of an merdeka curriculum is considered to be able to provide positive changes to the progress of education in Indonesia
