V is still a global health problem. People with HIV/AIDS tend to have poor selfacceptance due to environmental barriers in the form of stigma and weakness. Problems that arise both internally and externally make PLWHA have a negative perception of themselves. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-acceptance and PLWHA's perception of the stigma of HIV/AIDS in Jember District. This study used analytic observational research with a cross sectional approach. This study involved 138 people with HIV/AIDS who were selected by purposive sampling technique. Data collection used a self-acceptance questionnaire and a questionnaire on the perceptions of PLWHA on the stigma of HIV/AIDS. Data analysis using the Spearman-rank correlation test showed that there was a relationship between self-acceptance and the perception of PLWHA on the stigma of HIV/AIDS (p value = 0.026; r = 0.189). Research shows that most respondents have high self-acceptance (50.7%) and have a good perception (55.8%) of the stigma of HIV/AIDS in society. This study concluded that there is a relationship between self-acceptance and the perceptions of PLWHA about the stigma of HIV/AIDS in Jember District. These results indicate that the higher the self-acceptance of PLWHA, the lower the bad perception of PLWHA regarding the stigma of HIV/AIDS in society. Self-acceptance will affect how individuals assess something. A good perception will influence PLWHA in establishing a good relationship with the environment. Knowing the psychological aspects of PLWHA related to self-acceptance can help PLWHA to behave well with their health.en_US
