dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the character structure of Dani's character in the film Midsommar which is analyzed using Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis theory. This research is a type of qualitative research using descriptive method. The subject of this research is the movie Midsommar directed by Ari Aster. The object studied is the character Dani through Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis theory. This research focuses on the storyline which is then divided into three acts: the introduction act, the confrontation act, and the resolution act. This research proves that the structure of human personality consisting of id, ego, and superego influences attitude taking to solve problems. Dani's decision-making is heavily influenced by the pleasure principle, which is his desire to release all the emotions he has been holding back for a long time, reality, which is the conditions that occur around Dani, and the prevailing norms related to the Harga society. | en_US |
