Evaluasi User Experience pada Aplikasi SISTER for Lecturer Universitas Jember Menggunakan Metode User Experience Questionnaire
Abstract
This research focuses on evaluating the user experience (UX) of the SISTER for Lecturer (SFL) application at University of Jember using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. The SFL application is a digital platform to assist the tasks of lecturers. The primary aim of this study was to assess the overall user experience and identify areas for improvement in the SFL application. Lecturers from Faculty of Computer Science in University of Jember participated in the study. The finding revealed below average scores for attractiveness, perspicuity, stimulation, novelty, and bad scores for efficiency, and dependability, highlighting the need for improvements. Specific issues were identified in features like Attendance, geo-location, presence, grade entry, schedule change, academic advisory, more, chat, notification, remuneration, and monitoring. Additionally, unclear button/icon were observed. Recommendations include enchancing attendance and geo-location accuracy, addressing failures in the presence feature, diffrentiating between lecturer and administrative staff needs, improving grade entry, academic advisory, more, chat features implementing chat notifications, adding online teaching options, completing the Remuneration section, improving Monitoring responsiveness, and clarifying buttons/icons. Prioritizing improvement of efficiency and dependability, the lowest scoring aspects, is essential. This involves enchancing speed and user control within the application. Implementing the recommendations will enhance usability, efficiency, and dependability, resulting in an improved user experience for lecturers at University of Jember.
