Peran Tata Artistik dalam Mendukung Suasana Menegangkan pada Film Perempuan Tanah Jahanam (2019)

Abstract

This study uses the subject of the film Perempuan Tanah Jahanam to examine the artistic arrangement in supporting a tense atmosphere. This study aims to find out and understand how the artistic arrangement, namely the setting, props, make-up, and fashion in supporting the tense atmosphere in the film Perempuan Tanah Jahanam. This research uses the main theory of Doeanna Bintang's artistic order to dissect the four elements contained therein and analyze the research data. The theory supports the tense suspense scene from Noell Carroll. This research found several suspense scenes in the film Perempuan Tanah Jahanam. From these several scenes, the researcher then sorts the scenes by producing 6 suspense scenes that are the most artistically prominent which are judged to be able to produce questions that make the audience feel tense, scared, and anxious caused by the previous visuals. Based on the artistic arrangement to support the tense atmosphere in the film Perempuan Tanah Jahanam, the six scenes show the mood and impression of horror by conveying suspense scenes.
