Peran Warna Tata Busana Guna Memperkuat Emosi Violet dalam Film Nappily Ever After

Abstract

This research uses the subject of Nappily Ever After movie, which examines the color of fashion to strengthen Violet's emotions in Nappily Ever After movie. This research aims to know and understand the role of fashion colors to strengthen Violet's emotions in Nappily Ever After movie. This research uses Brewster's color theory to get the grouping of the colors, Sanyoto's theory of color meaning to find out the meaning of the color. Brewster and Sanyoto's theories are combined with David Krech's Emotion classification theory to get the results of this research. This research data analyzes the role of fashion colors to strengthen Violet's emotions in Nappily Ever After movie. Based on the results of the research, there are 6 data in the form of scenes that describe Violet's fashion color to strengthen emotions in 98 minutes of film duration. The results show that the role of fashion colors can strengthen emotions, such as at the beginning of the story tends to use bright colors such as pink which can strengthen the emotion of confidence in Violet's character. In the middle of the story tends to use dark colors such black which can strengthen sad emotions. At the end of the story reuses bright colors such as white which can strengthen the emotion of happiness.
