Penokohan Multi-protagonist Jim dan Lauren Dalam Film Blended Melalui Struktur Tiga Babak

Abstract

Films generally only place one character into the main character position, and the whole story film will center on that main character’s life. The main character is a very important character in taking a role in a story. Protagonists are not only played by one person, but can be multi-protagonists or several characters who have one goal. Syd Field explained that the three-act structure is divided into act one which is the set up, act two which is the confrontation, and act three which is the resolution. Based on the aboce background, the researcher is interested in examining how a film and how it relates to the aspects of sociocultural, gender, and the moral message conveyed. The type of research conducted is qualitative research using descriptive writing techniques in classifying the characters of the main character as well as describing the influence of those contradictorycharacters on the storyline. Overall, the use of multi- protagonists in Blended film successfully illustrates how the two protagonists can complement each other’s missing roles in their children. In the end, the decision to bring Jim and Lauren’s family together emphasizes the successful use of multi-protagonist characters in Blended film to convey a moral message.
