dc.description.abstractThis study investigates the perspectives of Indonesia’s Jurassic Park Issue from two online media.There are two choosen news articles that become the data, those are the BBC News and Al Jazeera. These two media have different perspectives in reporting the Indonesia’s Jurassic Park issue, it interests the researcher to conduct deeper analysis related to the bias used by the BBC News and Al Jazeera about the issue. This study uses theory of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). The qualitative method employes in this study. There were 53 clauses from the BBC News article and 117 clauses from the Al Jazeera news article. Moreover, the result of analysis shows that BBC News serve bias or tendency to Indonenian goverenment impled in the text of news article. Meanwhile, Al Jazeera prefer to be neutral and unbiased.en_US
