dc.description.abstract | Chronic kidney failure is a condition which the functions of kidney do not work
perfectly so it is necessary to do hemodialysis. Hemodialysis is one of the therapies used
to replace the functions of kidneys. Hemodialysis is carried out for a lifetime so that it
can cuase stres for the sufferer. This research aimsed to analize the associat between
self-efficacy with stress in patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy in Poly
Hemodialysis dr. Soebandi Hospital Jember. The research used a correlation research
design with a cross sectional approach.. A total of 84 respondent were take by using
quota sampling approach using General Self-Efficacy and Perceived Stress Scale. The
statatical test used was spearman. Th resulth of research were based on the Spearman
statistical test with p value 0,036 was and value r = -0,229 means that the betwen
correlation between self-efiicacy and strespatient chronic kidney disease undergoing
hemodialysis has a negative correlation direction with a weak correlation streght.
Negative correlation indicate that the higher the self-efficacy in patients undergoing
hemodialysis, the lower the stres experienced. High self-efficacy in kidney failure
patients undergoing hemodialysis will have a positive impact on the quality of life,
especially in undergoing hemodialysis treatment which can be demonstrated through
actions in dealing with any problems encountered, continuing to learn about errors that
have been experienced, and not stressed about the treatment process that is do.
Therefore the need for special attention about the importance of self-efficacy in patients
with chronic kidney failure undergoing hemodialysis to reduce stress in patients and
improve the process of care being carried out by patients. | en_US |
