PERSEPSI LANSIA POTENSIAL TENTANG PROGRAM PEMBERDAYAAN KARANG WERDA DI KABUPATEN JEMBER

Abstract

Indonesia has number of elder people increasing every year, so it needs empowerment program for elder people in order their ability and potency are able to be improved. Purpose of the research is to discover potential elderly perception about empowerment program of Karang Werda in Jember. The research uses descriptive research with qualitative approach and FGD method. The informants are selected using purposive sampling. The research result shows that the informants characteristic following the empowerment program of Karang Werda in Jember are between 60 – 69 years old, consist of 3 males and 2 females, have high level education. The informants have entrepreneurship potency. The informant in this research have perception that the program is able to fulfill psychology needs, give a lot of benefits, give positive experience, change the characteristic more autonomous, able to be applied in daily life because the program has positive benefit for their own self applying program by healthy lifestyle.
