Jember Regency, located in East Java, holds significant potential for developing the coffee industry. With a plantation area of 18,321 hectares, Jember produced 11,795 tons of coffee in 2022. This natural resource offers opportunities to enhance production, innovation, and community empowerment. Rumah Kopi Banjarsengon (RKB) is an agro-industrial enterprise operating in Jember Regency, focusing on coffee processing from upstream to downstream. The main processing methods applied by RKB include natural, honey, and washed processes. The drying phase in the natural coffee processing method is time-consuming and prone to contamination, weather changes, and inconsistent temperature fluctuations. A solar dome is a coffee drying system that uses solar energy as the primary heat source to reduce the moisture content in coffee beans. By integrating a solar dome with the Internet of Things (IoT), environmental condition data, such as temperature and humidity, can be monitored and controlled. This study aims to design and develop an IoT-based solar dome coffee dryer at Rumah Kopi Banjarsengon and assess the effectiveness of the tool in the coffee drying process. The research utilizes engineering methods to develop an IoT-based solar dome equipped with temperature, humidity, and weight sensors, monitored and controlled via the Blynk application and Google Spreadsheet. The effectiveness of the tool was tested by comparing drying time, humidity, temperature, drying rate, and moisture content between the solar dome and conventional methods. The IoT-based solar dome coffee dryer proved to increase drying efficiency and quality, with drying time difference 27% faster and efficiency 140% higher than conventional drying methods. The IoT-based solar dome is effective in enhancing the efficiency and quality of coffee drying at Rumah Kopi Banjarsengon, offering an innovative solution for the coffee processing industry.en_US
