Interkulturalisme dalam Novel Indonesia Berkerabat Karya Andika Hendra dan Pemanfaatannya sebagai Materi Menulis Teks Refleksi di SMA
Abstract
Research of interculturalism in novels refers to the interaction of different cultural meetings with respect for each individual. The object of research selected is the novel Indonesia Berkerabat by Andika Hendra. This novel was selected because of the intercultural situation in the story. The characters who are the seven college students come from different regions and were united by the #IndonesiaBerkerabat movement. The results of the interculturalism research study will be utilized as material for writing reflection texts in high school. This article describes the intercultural interactions and factors that unite cultures in the novel Indonesia Berkerabat by Andika Hendra, as well as the utilization of intercultural studies as material for writing reflection texts in class XII SMA. The type of research used is qualitative research with an intercultural study approach in literature. Data analysis is done by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. This research resulted in intercultural interactions that show respect and collaboration, factors that unite intercultures, and the utilization of intercultural studies as material for writing reflection texts in class XII SMA. The results of this study are expected to be useful for further researchers in studying intercultural, teachers, and students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education as reading material to find out intercultural studies in novels.
