Abstract: Every year the number of vehicle in the world increased rapidly, so that one inevitable effect is congestion, one of the causes of congestion is lack of availability of adequate parking. With this background, this alt can be made to reduce congestion by providing convenient parking, easy, and efficient payment system. Thid tool uses ATMega microrontroller 16 and the sensor used is photodiode. Sensor used to detect the location of parking area which produces an output logic i/o is processed by the microcontroller ATMega 16 and subsequently forwarded to the visual basic 6.0 software that is used to calculate the parking fee to be paid users, in addition to the output of the sensor circuit is displayed on the LED that is placed at the entrance that serves as a parking plan. In this study the tool works pretty well with a success rate of 89 percent and the percent error of 10,78 percent of the tool. This tool is expected, can function as tools that can facilitate the management of parking, so as to reduce congestion.
