Abstract: The increasing the number of vehicles also increase the air pollutions. Therefore, it needs the vehicles that friendly to environment, one of them is electric vehicles. Electric vehicle, rely on motor as propulsion and limited batteries as energy sources. Three phase motor induction is typical motor used. To improve energy efficiency, it is need a system that can recharge battery from braking moment that called regenerative braking. In this research, a braking system of electric vehicle that use induction motor will build, with braking level controlled by fuzzy control. The implementation of the system use real time workshop simulink Matlab, which use PCI1710HG interfacing. Fuzzy will control of pulse width. In the system also use Boost converter that produce increasing the voltage according to braking level. If the voltages increase, the current to recharge battery also increase. At the braking level 10%, the current into the battery is 0,22 mA in the 4 seconds braking time, while the braking level on 40%, the current into the battery is 0,002 mA, and the braking time is 2 seconds. The results indicate that the faster speed of the motor, the voltage output is greater, so that the voltage boost converter successfully processed by the large. The best battery recharge happen at the first braking level or on duty cycle equal to 10%.
