Abstract: Head injury as a result of traffic accident is the number eight cause of death globally. It causes wound in both outside and inside cavity system that the condition level involves minor, moderate, and major injury or even death. This research aims to investigate the characteristic representation of head injuries patients caused by traffic accident in dr. Soebandi Hospital Jember. The sample collection technique was simple random sampling by applying lameshow formula. There were 89 medical records collected. The percentage of head injuries Patients caused by Traffic Accident age 11-20 years old was 23, 6%. Mostly male was 74,2%, mostly occupation as student/undergraduate student was 32,6%, education at elementary level was 51,7%, motorcycle as the most vehicle type used was 89,9%, the accident mostly happened at 06:00-17:59 WIB was 64% and the minor injury as the mostly injury’s level occurred was 41,6%. People in young aged who numerous activities and mobilities they had, had higher risk to experience head injury rather than the elders. The traffic jams in rush hours along with the beginning of society’s activities made motorcycle was the only one choice which was thought to be more efficient without concerning about the safety riding. The most level of head injury occurred in this research was minor injury.
