Abstract: This Classroom Action Research was conducted at SMPN 2 Rogojampi to improve the eighth grade students’ vocabulary achievement by using English songs. The researcher used the eighth grade students especially class 8H as participants of this research. The researcher conducted the preliminary study by interviewing with the English teacher at SMPN 2 Rogojampi that was found the students 8H had difficulties in learning vocabulary because the students did not know many English words, so it was difficult for the students to memorize new vocabulary. This is also shown by the students’ average score was 69.26. The researcher tried to overcome the problem by using English songs as a media in teaching vocabulary.
