Inroduction: Odontoblast-like cells are repararivc dentine former when the original odontoblass cells get apoptotic by irritant. The formmion of odontcblast-Iike cells can be enhanced by applying a material. Synthetic bioactive glass is one of the materials that can be used to induce regenerative dentine formation but this marerinl is difficult 10 find in Indonesia. The alternative material that can be used is bioactive glass nano silica gel from bagasse ash. This material will form hydroxycarbonatc apatite (HCA) layers when contact the body fluid in pulp. The HCA layers will adsorb Transformibg Growth Factor-II I is an imponam regulator of the proliferation and differentiation of dental papilla rnesenchyme cells i1110 odontcblast- like cells. Method: This study was experimental laboratories. Sixteen male wistar rats were divided into t\10 groups. the control group with temporary fillings (caviton) and the treatment group with gel bioacrive glass nano silica. Ra1 teeth were prepared hisrologically using hernatoxylin eosin staining. The number of odcntoblast-like cells were counted under a binocular microscope with magnification 400X on three fields of view, Result: The formed odomoblast-like cell in treatment group were more numerous than the control group. Conclusion: bioactive glass nano silica gel can enhance the forrnaricn of odontoblast-likc cells.en_US
