Abstract: Intelectual disability is a condition which is signed by ability an intelligence below average. One of the problems of childern with intelectual disability is a doing activity daily living. The appropriate parenting style was needed by children with intellectual disability. This research was conducted to analyze the correlation between parenting style and activity daily living on childern with intelectual disability in SLB-C TPA Jember regency. This research was analytical observation with cross sectional approach. Data were collected from May to June 2018 on 59 parents of children with intellectual disability using total samping. The chi square tes showed the correlation between parenting style and activity daily living (p value 0.036 < a 0.05) or there was correlation between parenting style with autonomous level of activity daily living on children with intelectual disability, with majority democratic parenting style in 25 parents (42.2%) and majority independence of activity daily living on children with intellectual disability was on autonomous category, there were 31 children (52.5%) who on those category. The research showed that democratic parenting style can improve the ability of children in doing activity daily living independently. Democratic parenting style can help the childern to self-reliance because it was ideal parenting style that can adjust the intelligence level of children with the ability that they have.
