Abstract: Botulinum toxin or Botox (BTX) is a neurotoxic produced by the bacterium clostriumbotulinum and releated species. It also produced commercially for medical, research and cosmetic used. There are many medical condition included dental cases can be treated by botox. Botox as alternative treatment modality have shown promising results in managing the dental diseases such as hyperactive orofacial musculature. This study used all article and studies from intemetreseach and articles related to dentistry were extracted and summarized. The objective of this article is to review mechanism of action and application of botox in dentistry.
