The application of Philip's two-parameter infiltration model for practical purposes has received little attention. The present study is comprised of two main field studies. Both studies had three primary objectives. Firstly, to evaluate the applicability of the model for agricultural land under ponded condition. Based on the parameters (sorptivity, S and constant, A) and the flow characteristics during infiltration, the second objective was to characterize the hydrologic properties of the cultivated agricultural land.en_US
