Abstract: Dental caries is an oral health problem that complained by the public and needs serious attention because of its prevalence is increasing. Based Riskesdas 2013, there were 53.2% of Indonesian people with dental caries. The problem of dental caries also occur in children, in 2013 on age group 5-9 years old and 10-14 years old it was 28.9% and 25.2%. One of the treatments for dental caries is restoration treatment. Objective: To know the percentage restoration treatment necessary of desiduous teeth on pediatric patient. Method: This research used descriptive method with cross sectional data retrieval and performed at the RSGM of pedodonsia clinic Jember University in September to November 2015. The number of samples 111 were obtained by using purposive sampling method. Result: def-t index on respondent is 11.6. Restoration treatment necessary of desiduous teeth by age group, age 5 years by 4.2%; ages 6 years of 10.37%; age 7 years 27.21%; ages 8 years 14.70%; ages 9 years 2.31%. Deciduous teeth restoration treatment needs based on gender that is, men and women as much as 33% as much as 25.80%. Conclusion: def-t index on respondent has found too high. Restoration treatment necessary of desiduous teeth by age highest in children aged 7 years and lowest in children aged 9 years and need for restorative treatment of primary teeth by sex on boys more than girls
