dc.description.abstract	After ten year's effort9 Javanese farmers have definitely responded to the rice production intensification programs which make a sustained rice production increase possible. The rice Production increase was about 2.5 % a year9 and was raised to 6% a year in the period 1965-1971 due to the successes obtained in the intensification programs. This increase is sufficiently large 9 and is more than twice the rate of population increase.	en_US
