Abstract: | Hand washing behavior with soap on age school children was mostly done in wrong way, due to the lack of knowladge about how to correctly washed their hand with soap. To resolve this problem, nurses could conduct a health education about hand washing with soap. This education expected to change the school children behavior so they can applicated clean and healhty living. Learning methods in accordance with the development of age school children was cooperative learning such as Teams Games Tournament (TGT) method. The aims of this study is analysis the difference of hand washing behavior with soap on age school children application using Teams Games Tournament (TGT) method. The study used pre experimental method with one group pretest and postest design. The sampling was 32 respondents, determine using non probability sampling with total sampling approaches. Data was analysis using Chi square test. The result showed that before TGT intervention, there was 14 respondents with less good behavior (43,7%) and 18 respondents with quite good behavior (56,3%). After TGT intervention, there was 20 respondents good behavior and 12 respondents (37,5%) with quite good behavior. The results also showed that p value was 0,002 (α 0,05). It means there was a difference of hand washing behavior with soap on 3 grade of students using Teams Games Tournament (TGT) method in SDN Antirogo 01 Jember Regency. |
