The result of the analysis showed that in delivering intentions, the characters stated their intentions implicitly. Based on those 11 data taken from the movie, they have an intended meaning inside of the utterances. Therefore, most of the characters delivered their intentions implicitly by saying utterances that ahs a specific meaning. In delivering their intentions, some of them are failed to achieve their goal to the hearer. Some of the participants could not carry out the meaning implied in the utterances. Finally, it is important to learn Austin’s speech act theory especially for the students in the English Department Program, because by knowing this theory it will make them understand how to use language especially English carefully and well. Every words they will hear might have a meaning that totally different with what is being spoken.en_US
